Artist Statement
"Creativity is essential to our well-being.
It is one of our basic senses: we need it to live.
The fact is, the minute we are born, we start creating: a baby's first cry is its first creation ever: a sound.
Follows the creation of movement, of smells, of substances...
As humanity too, our oldest records reflect creativity in its simplest form: drawings on walls.
It is our nature to create.
Capitalism, however, which puts a price on everyone and everything, has even put a price on creativity.
It tries to fool us into believing that the only creativity that counts is the one that makes money.
Well, that is not true at all. Life is not a factory.
We make art to live, to survive, to rebuild, and reinvent, but also to relax, find hope, peace, serenity, to understand, discover, and reveal, to heal, feel and seal.
We make art to imagine, invent, visualize and ultimately create all the other possible worlds we want to see and have and touch and live."
